Madden 25 PC Performance Issues
Title. There are times it runs great. Half or most of the time it has tons of lag, input delays, slowing down, stuttering, randomly slow FPS. And I assure you, I have top of the line hardware, hardwired, fast internet, and have tried every combination of every settings that are relevant. Just to cover my bases so the automated customer service BS (MAYBE) doesn't try copy pasting some generic response to me, I have limited my FPS to 60 (1080p monitor is the only thing not high end, cat broke my last one) ensured v-sync is off, enabled high performance for the executable file through the directory, ensured NVIDIA settings have openGL rendering on my GPU, set the settings in game to low and/or off such as the crowd quality crap, made sure all of it matches my capabilities, tried turning it down some (that only made it worse, predictably) and probably a lot more I am forgetting. And not a single thing changes how it goes in game. It's interesting how EA ignores things like this beyond posting generic replies, as if their entire fan base DIDN'T just spend $70 or more on the game. One problem is how taxing the game is on CPU; the temp randomly runs high at times, and Madden is the only game that does this. It is NOT optimized to use the GPU like it should, and appears to heavily queue frames through the CPU. I even wonder if it somehow overclocks the CPU natively with how insanely high the speed gets increased, and once again, this is with top of the line hardware (10900K so people know I'm not BSing; I spent $400 on that processor). I'm done if this doesn't get fixed, because there are plenty of games out there more demanding on requirements than Madden, and they all run a lot better and smoother.
