Connected Franchise EA Account Glitch Affecting Entire 32 Person League
I was directed to download the EA App and Madden 26 for PC via the Xbox App on my computer. I was hoping to use this method to access my online connected franchise teams that I normally play on my xbox series x. I own the hard copy of the game-- not digital. I have two EA accounts. One that I use as main (A) and the other I never use (B).
When I entered the game, I logged in using EA Account "A," which was showing that it had a 10 hour free trial available for Madden 26 on PC. Upon entering the game, I could see that none of my previous xbox-initiated game saves/league memberships were visible, and an EA Account username was displaying on screen where my Xbox Gamertag would normally show. Realizing this was not working, I found a way to log on to my Xbox using Microsoft's Remote Play feature, remotely controlling my Xbox via wifi and my cellphone (the one where my xbox at home is executing all of my inputs and displaying it on my TV, even though I am not physically there). Here I saw that my online game saves, including Ultimate Team Progress, had also disappeared (no doubt as a result of me logging in to Madden 26 for PC).
I contacted the Administrators for "League1," an alias for a connected franchise league that I am in with 31 other users. The Admins for League1 confirmed that something was amiss with my account ownership of my team in the league.
Thinking that EA had mistakenly linked account A to my Xbox when I really should have been linked with account B, I initiated a manual account link change to where my Xbox account is paired with EA account B. Now I cannot change back to A if I wanted to because of EA's 6-month prohibition on account changes. EA Support has indicated that it is likely that account A was my long-term Xbox connected account, and that the switch I initiated could potentially be unwarranted, but with the 6-month ban I am stuck waiting. If the 6-month freeze is non-negotiable, as I have been told, then I no longer care about attempting to restore my online game save progress, which seems to be the main thing that switching back might accomplish, though I would love to know if there is a way to override this due to it stemmed back to an EA system failure.
The BIGGEST issue is that my team in League1 is showing up with blank " " ownership, and the Admins are not able to remove this ghost account from the league to open it up for a new invitee. No one can access or control this team whatsoever, and it is affecting the league rules and experience for 31 OTHER PLAYERS, not just me. I would love to find out some suggestions for how to "unstick" my team slot in League1, so that we can all move on from the debacle and heartbreak of losing all of my EA Sports online game save progress across all games.
