So I'm going to give a little clarity on what I mean concerning the things I mention in the CPU section of Negatives.
Just finished my second game for the day. It was away vs Denver, and this game served as a perfect example on why many feel the game is "scripted". On Denver's first drive, our defense literally stops them three times in a row to force a field goal only to have a CPU player on my side of the ball commit three roughing the kicker penalties in a row, to which finally led to them scoring a touchdown on their fourth attempt, where they proceeded to run the ball from the 6 yard line......their running back gets hit sticked 3 consecutive times in a row, without Tank on, defender bounces off him, and finally gets tackled from behind straight into the end zone from the 2. That was the first sign something was up. From there it was constant overthrows, absurd knockouts on most plays, fumbles, and after it being 7-0 in the second quarter in favor of Denver, I SIM the rest of the game at the 2 minute warning before halftime out of curiosity to see what would happen, and sure enough I lose 31-17. There is no better argument I have for "scripted" than this. Every game has some absurd garbage that takes place, but this literally was a game that leaves you wondering why you ever bothered. If I had to guess, it's likely coded to have some amount blowout losses for CPU vs CPU play, as there are absolutely these types of games that happen irl, and somehow this carries over into USER vs CPU play. I hope I'm wrong, but games such as this one are why people say it feels scripted....and I sadly agree. Let me lose on my own please, there are days I don't need the help lol
