Community ManagerI get that assumption. It's a really common for someone to think because other games work, the issue is with the game. However, every game is different and so are its requirements for a stable connection.
Is there any way you could move close enough to the router to use a wire temporarily to test if that helps or not?
Not really. The router is in the next room like 15-18 steps away from the Xbox.

Unfortunately, without testing this we won't know for sure. Wireless connections are probably the biggest reason for disconnects and lag so chances are good this will continue until you can get wired. You may want to look in to powerline adaptors. Those are good way to get a wired connection when your router is too far for a wire.
