Horrible Pre-Snap Lag 4080, I9, 64GB RAM

Specs 4080 Super, I9, 64GB Memory. Steam version. 11/19/25 update.

On maybe 50% of all plays, the game slows to a crawl as the offense makes their way to the LOS Pre-Snap. It's like slow motion 3 FPS. Then every play has a brief hitch when the ball is snapped.

Once the ball is snapped, and after the brief snap hitch, gameplay is smooth and looks good for the remainder of the play.

This happens in franchise and playnow. It's unplayable.

I have re-installed, verified file integrity, ensured NVIDIA drivers are updated (even rolled back to the 9/10/25 drivers for testing), and have toggled all levels of graphics settings, resolution, fullscreen, borderless etc. Doesn't make a difference!!

Why JUST Pre-Snap while the Post-Snap is smooth???!!

I have identical specs to yours and I'm seeing the same issues. This wasn't happening with 25

  • @EA, there needs to be WAY more transparency around status and timeline for patching.

The game has been BROKEN for many PC users for nearly 2 weeks and other than a single acknowledgement in another post last week, NOTHING.

This isn't an "inconvenient" or "superficial" issue it's literally broken the game.

Do better. Let us know if you need more help, let us know when you will be fixing this so we can actually ENJOY an NFL game before the season is over.
