Achievement paramour 2

Hi to all,

I really don’t understand what the heck is going on a with the legendary edition of Mass Effect 1,2 and 3.  The romancing of of Liara I see it play out in ME1, then ME2 I also, see the romance play out.  So I finish ME2 everyone survived the collector base, etc.

Then when am going to load my ME 2 Shepherd, in the description of what happened in ME1, is there. Then when I am load my y Shepherd from ME2 to ME3 it’s says everything correctly except it says I romance Liara in ME1, Rachni queen, etc Except it says I didn’t romance anyone! But am positive that Liara was romanced living happily ever after, little blue children, etc.  her picture is still in his cabin in ME2. Please someone tell me what the heck is going on.

Thank you for reading,

Mayra

    Hey @JordanSleepy25,

Sadly, romancing Liara in Mass Effect 2 did not provide the Paramour achievement in the original release as that option was only available to those who had the DLC.

You can check out this site for more details on the eligible romance options in ME2 and ME2 Legendary Edition.

As you mentioned, romancing someone else in ME2 does cause Liara to be upset in ME3. You're able to work this out and make a decision at that point, though if you're hoping to avoid this the alternative is to avoid the other romance options in ME2.

That does mean if you'd like to stick with Liara for all three games, unfortunately you would need a separate playthrough to get the final Paramour achievement.

The picture on Shepard's desk of your love interest from ME1 would stay there unless you pursue one of the other love interests in ME2, so that part doesn't appear to be bugged. 🙂

    Hey @JordanSleepy25!

This one's a bit tricky due to the wording on this achievement sounding like more situations should apply than actually do, I'm afraid.

Originally since the Lair of the Shadow Broker content (including Liara's romance) was DLC and not something everyone had access to, that achievement only triggered with a romance of the base characters.

That was not changed in Legendary Edition, so you would need to romance someone else in ME2 to get this achievement.

  • Am sorry, but am still not understanding. In the original release of all three games, My Shepard only romanced Liara and I received all three achievements.  So in the legendary form it won’t work? I need to romance someone else in ME2?  If this is true, then the platform was changed in legendary release.
    Thank you for the information

  • @EA_Mako Also, in the original release if Shepard romanced anyone else, say Tali. Liara was upset in Mass Effect 3 and I had to go back replay ME2 when the dlc came out. Also, Liara picture would disappear in ME2 if Shepard romanced anyone else. In my ME2 legendary gameplay, Liara picture is there before he goes to the Collector base.
My apologies but then something is bugging my game.
    Thank you again,
    Mayra

  • Thank you again, am already doing another play through starting with ME1 to get other achievements. So I when I get to ME2, I will choose another love interest for my male Shepard❤️  Yes am very addicted to all of Mass Effect games, Mass Effect Andromeda (loved it) and Anthem. Also, all of Dragon Age games.

Have a beautiful day and thank you so much for your response,

makes no sense to me as why did we not then get  Paramour 2 in ME3 when we stayed with Liara and if the wording is wrong as it says rekindle something you cannot do in me2 at all then why has that not been patched

also can you still get this by playing up to the romance scene in 1 making a hard save play it get 2 then reboot and replay it over to get 3 because some say you can others say EA patched that so we cannot do it that way

  • Thank you

Achievement for paramour 2 done, but now during my play through on ME3, in Shepherds room are missing the ships, Hamster and all the fishes from her aquarium in my ME2 play through…..please help.  It’s been always there from previous games with male Shepard.  So what’s happening with my female play through?

    Please help and thank you,

    Mayra
