I preordered on steam and when i opened the forums up i see tons of threads saying they changed cut scenes of her azz so it doesn't show it? IS this true? That would be a shame because i really don't want to cancel the pre order... But being EA i expected something like this to happen. Old ME versions it is.

@Princess_Catra Have to agree with you on this. Where was the sexualization outrage in the "naked swap scene" in Mass Effect Andromeda?? How about the shirtless Jacob or video of him doing situps(DLC shadowbroker)?? What about James Vega, jarhead extreme, but with muscles out to there, always flexing and showing off?? How about EVERY male hero having a 6pk abs, and WIDE shoulders, narrow waists, and tight butts that less than 5% of the men will ever have?? Yet, when we hear about over sexualization and objectification it is ALWAYS only about women, and how they look. Hate to break it, but humans are a sexual species....it is biological to want to procreate and having issues with this is stupid, and most times caused either by jealousy, or feeling of inadequacy. I personally want the characters in my games(and movies) to be larger than life, more perfect than possible and more beautiful than 99% of the world....if I wanted mundane and ordinary, I will go talk to my neighbors or co-workers. I want the escape.

@Allison_X5-734 you mean the era of good games? what is wrong with jacks outfit? It was part of her character. People who think "sexy woman is wrong" are a very small % but western devs always listen to the twitter warriors and anita Sarkisian for some reason. Cyberpunk is the most sexualized game in history and all the bad things about it had nothing to do with that or the people crying on twitter about it. Plenty more examples but all come from devs from other countries...I knew they would find a way to ruin the port.We already know they made femshep uglier on purpose as well(like every female character).Back to foreign games it is then I guess..

I completely agree with both of you. Especially with what's been going on with not only games but movies as well. At some point this biased one sided censorship all has to stop I am sure I am not the only one absolutely fed up with our beloved franchises each and every one of them being absolutely trashed by all this, which the majority never asked for. On top of the points mcsupersport pointed out that sex appeal is a perfectly NORMAL thing. Going to escape for a bit to enjoy a good fantasy is perfectly fine, and that was ME's strong point covered from all angles (thinking of Jack). The original creators of ME intended on it being shot the way it was and thats the way that I wanted to experience it again without being bothered by all these weird nonsensical changes.By the way despite all that sex appeal I was Liara all the way 😉. Hoping we get Liara back in the next ME haha.

@Naala LOL Good point, and the more they pander the deeper into the hole they dig themselves by offending people from all sides.

I was thinking that the best outcome would be first and foremost keep the game as it was, I would want them to keep the camera angles and not censor, and would be perfectly game for them to add in all the homosexual *-* as its additional content as it would please more of the community (I heard some romance options around here got scrubbed?). They could have also restored the rest of the DLC, animations, new ending etc, lots of stuff. Better adding than removing right. But here we are -_-

" YES yeard that to also there Jack was supposed to be Pansexual dont know what that is and dont care but ppl are angry that she isnt...

yeah either leaving it as it was and make all aspects of it better or add stuff, the moment they even thought about removing some things that's where it went wrong.

Yeah getting back on track I sincerely hope EA/Bioware listen to us everyone could argue for pages and pages but ultimately the point is that there are a huge group of people (not conspiracy theory people) who ain't cool with the censorship and hope they can consider it, if not just for the sake of the community also the sales and investment in future ME titles. ME is one of my all time favorites and I want more of what we had back in the original trilogy. More Shepard and Liara in my case hahaha.

Me to there are more ppl not wanting these changes then those who do developers and publishers think they know what gamers want but they dont.

These three games touched so many hearts all over the world tehy might be old and controls are clunky AI not so great but we love them Mass Effect could be a perfect TV show or movie the story is so great the universe is so big they got so much lore to take from OMG Bioware pitch THAT to netflix or HBO!

Mass Effect TV series would kick * as a Sci Fi show, recommend that any day over a Netflix Zelda, or Netflix Diablo etc

Sad thing to me is, the people Bioware is trying to cater to, ie the twitterotsi don't even play video games, or if they do it is all mobile games. Major businesses need to remember that about 90% of twitter posts are created by less than 10% of the twitter users which is about 5-6 million people....most don't play video games for fun.

Basically a twitter outrage explosion is just a minor minority of the US population getting traction because it is easier for news sites to monitor twitter than to actually go out and do work and find a story.

Bioware/EA needs to listen to its customers and forget twitter ragers and let their customers needs and wants rule.

if they should read any criticism it should be here not twatter!
but i am sure there are EA/Bioware employees keeping an eye here and on youtube as well at least i would hope so

To be fair that seems such a vague concern that it's almost meaningless.

I see no sign of editorial decisions being made at a publisher corporate level, nor attempts to 'cater' to anyone. What I do see is a development team at BioWare trying to do what makes sense to them. Anyone who has played BioWare games over many many years knows their style and their passion for inclusivity and that's not going to change, nor would I want it to.

2020 taught us that any game studio from those with awful to wonderful reputations can mess up and pull a winner out of the bag.

Maybe MELE's update will suck, maybe it'll be awesome. I hope the latter.

Proof is in the pudding. Let's judge on the game itself not on a well travelled news quote. 😉
