Is anyone else having an issue of dialog audio stopping mid-final word? It's like the last syllable or 2 get cut off. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens to me on both PC and Xbox One. I'd put it around 60% or so. It's frequent enough to be annoying, and no, I'm not skipping dialog.
I have it too, happening in ME1 on both XB1 and PS4. Noticed it first when talking to Jenkins on the Normandy, and had it happen randomly throughout the whole campaign. Usually you see the npc's lip kind of quiver/stutter, then the dialogue begins and cuts off before the first sentence is finished. An example would be talking to Kaiden on the Normandy, he would say "Anything you need, Command........ instead of Commander. I'm a veteran player and can confirm this didn't happen in og ME1. I hope they do get it fixed.
Yep, happening to me too on PC. The dialogue audio starts a second after the lips start moving, making the whole thing out of sync and the dialogue audio gets cut off just before it finishes. I mentioned it on Reddit too where a few people answered to say they had this problem. It doesn't happen every conversation, probably around half of them. It's getting really annoying now if I'm honest. I have a i79750, RTX2070, 16gb, game installed on NVME M.2 SSD. All drivers up to date, perfectly running system.
For me, it is always the last line of the first sentence in a dialogue. It does not happen every time/every conversation. Randomly after hitting the A button on my controller to start a conversation, the NPC will move their mouth to talk, but there is a delay of about a second or half second before the game starts to play the dialogue resulting in the NPC line being cut off when the dialogue switches to the second line of the convo or ends to wait for a response from the player. I'm on Xbox one.

EDIT: When looking into this a bit more it seems it has been a prevalent problem with the game since it's very first release in 2007, which explains why I had the nagging feeling I had when I saw this problem with MELE being reported... I had this very same issue when I first played the OG version years ago! (I even found a notepad file from years ago in my documents with some copied text from a couple of forums with settings that supposedly fixed it, but never worked! I have copied my documents over MANY laptops over the years!) It is a very well known problem that has never been fixed unfortunately ☹️
