Bug on Illium during: The Justicar: Smuggling Evidence side quest

I have finished Recruiting the Justicar and went to hand in the smuggling evidence to the police and I was rewarded with Renegade points? That's not how I remember it and the wiki states that I...

Did you chose the: "Did your job for you" option?

    I even reloaded a save and very carefully went through that interaction again to test and I still got Renegade points

        Yeah, that playthrough is the same as the wiki I checked.
        I play on Window 10.

        There has also been a few other examples where I have gotten renegade points from side mission and have been surprised by it, but none that I have inspected and tested to the same degree as this one.
