This quest can be acquired after completion of the main Feros mission if the colonists are not killed but it is impossible to complete in this context since the elevator required to access the prothean skyway is disabled on main planet story completion.EDIT 26.05.2021I reworded the title to make it clear that the quest is only impossible if you start it after finishing the main quest.

Yes, I know, but it's also possible to acquire this quest after finishing the main story once you are unable to actually go back and complete it, this is a bug and it's been present since 2007.

@Psychotps The funny thing is that there is a different dialog if you start the quest after completing the planet, which suggests the original dev intention was for the quest to be finishable after the planet is completed.

I found a tricky solution using the console. I recommend making a backup of your save file before trying this.Here is what I did :At BIOA_WAR00 Start_WAR40_01 // Teleported myself on the roadWent forward through the two doors then in the building on the left where the data is. At BIOA_WAR00 Start_WAR00_01 // Teleported myself back in the NormandyWent out of the Normandy and validated the quest.Hope it helps others who hate having a pending quest like me.

Same for me, cannot complete quest, and macha from the water quest disappears. So cannot complete that one either.

I just encountered this same problem. The annoying thing is, I tried to get the mission by talking to the people at the camp, but the game just wouldn't let me have it. I went to the area where the data should be but I guess it doesn't show unless you already have the quest. No biggie, I figured, I'll just get it from Zhu's Hope and backtrack. Bwa ha ha ha ha, nope. This could so easily be fixed by just unlocking the damned elevator. Why does it lock? Ridiculous.

@skaybay This mission acquired when you talk to the people on the skyway. If you successfully find the data. You can either give it to him at the place they were hiding or back at Zhu's Hope after defeating the Thorian.

@skaybay So, you missed obtaining the fetch quest at the correct time and can't complete it later?

Well, I guess technically it's a bug if you can "start" the quest at the end but not complete it...

But that doesn't mean the entire quest is broken and impossible. It's not broken. You just have to get the quest at the appropriate time during the mission. I know it can be completed because I've done it on LE.

Even if they "fix" it, it will likely be to remove the ability to GET the quest once you leave the location.

Worst-case, just re-start Feros and do it properly.

@skaybay But it's NOT finishable NOW.

Until they either remove the option to GET the quest once the planet's done or make it so once the planet's done, you can then go BACK and finish it... once either of those is done, then you'll be good.

Until then, you can't do it. Go back and do it the normal way.

Also, don't count on them "fixing" anything but major game crashes. If the bug is playable at all, EA isn't going to waste the money fixing it.
