Clipping through wall and infinitely falling out of bounds

Some necessary minor story spoilers follow to describe the location where the problem happened.

Spoilers: In the Feros plot location in Mass Effect ⚽ there is a spot where you have to get out of the MACO and go on foot. There is a locked door on one side and a shielded opening in the wall on the other side.

Before I figured out what I had to do to advance I was exploring the edges of this large open space. There is a spot in the current version of this space where it is possible to clip through the wall and fall infinitely out of bounds. Thankfully, I had saved before I accidentally fell out of bounds, and was able to continue playing.
