Game stuck in armor mod Menu-- MassEffect 1 LE.

Received the warning that I was nearing the 300 item inventory cap. 
Decided to start going through and disposing of all the Armor mods that were just sitting there. 
Had somewhere near 170 armor mods in total, and 150 or so that were completely useless.
Started marking them all as junk so I could just omni-gel all of them.
After making almost all of them and hitting the omni-gel all button, the game landed me on an "unidentified" armor mod. 
Once I was onto this armor mod, the only thing I could do was scroll the description box up and down. 
No other buttons worked, and I was forced to kill the game and start over from last save.
