HDR is broken on a dual monitor system

just fired up ME:LE and HDR is all kinds of broken.   im on an rtx 3090 and lg oled.    the tv turns on hdr like its supposed to, but the imagine becomes way over saturated.  like when you enable HDR on SDR content.    when i go to the Calibrations tab it says HDR Not Detected.

but if i unhook my other display (ghost display for my receiver for the audio), HDR works as intended and i can adjust the sliders.

drivers are up to date, and windows is up to date.

  • so ive gotta jump through too many hoops, but i found a workaround for this.

    unhook  your 2nd monitor

    start mass effect

go to calibration and enable HDR

hook up the 2nd display again

cycle HDR Off/On in game again

    HDR is now working correctly.

  • Three-Monitor setup.

    1080Ti

Works just fine on my Samsung LED-HDR TV, without unhooking any monitor.

  • lg cx48

im using a dual hdmi out setup.

hdmi goes from my gpu to the tv

displayport to hdmi goes to my receiver (sony str dn-1070)

the only way ive gotten hdr to properly work is the following

unhook the hdmi to the receiver

    start mass effect

    enable hdr in calibration setting

confirm that the hdr option sliders are active

hook up my hdmi to receiver

cycle hdr off/on in calibrations again

    everything is working.
