Mass Effect 2: Lorek Door Issue

Hi there! I just bought the game recently, so after completing a few missions and side quests I went to do the Missing Operative mission.

I was expecting a simple shoot em' up and get the guy out kinda thing, however after I cleared out the first room and looked at the reports and what not, I went to bypass the security on the door to the second room, and when I passed the security, the door just sat there and did nothing. I wondered around aimlessly for a bit and came to the conclusion that this must be a bug, since I had tried restarting the mission two times. I hope I'm not missing anything, but if so please let me.
