Mass Effect 3 Graphic Jolting

To whom it may concern,

I have just got back to mass effect 3 but I have got trouble running it on my computer. I do have the necessary configuration to make it work with full options enabled.

The game starts properly but the graphics seem to jolt all the time, you can"t follow the action, it is very annoying.

(See my configuration in the pictures shared below)

I went throught the forum and tried merely everything to get it work properly but nothing seems to work:

- Changed all the graphic parameters disabling all options.

-Updated/ repaired the game

-Reinstalled the game

-Updated my drivers (everything clean)

-Checked my firewall

-Unticked the box in Origin settings> Ingame> enable.

I am starting to feel desperate, if anyone has a clue.

Thanks for your help.

  • In the Nvidia control panel, go to 'manage 3D settings' and make sure this game is running off the Nvidia GPU instead of integrated graphics.

  • Hi !

    Thanks for your answer.

Which parameter do I have to change because I 've got no idea?

I have made several attempts modifying some of them but the problem still persists.

    Could you be more precise?

(If by any case you've got the translation of the parameter in french, i would be more than glad =))

    Thanks again.

Go to the "paramètres globaux" tab. It should look like the screenshot below, but Mass Effect 3 instead of 3D OpenGL Stereo. (I found it online, don't have an Nvidia GPU myself.)

  • I'm guessing you already tried tweaking the settings with the configuration utility?

  • You've tried everything there? Windowed mode, turning off Dynamic Shadows and/or Anisotropic Filtering, lower resolution etc?

  • Tried everything..., even in windowed mod with the smallest resolution and all the major graphic enhancement disabled, the image is still jolting all the time....

I really don't know what to do now.

  • Hmm...have you tried running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7?
