Have you try to research something to tier V?

You don't need to research the Pioneer deluxe edition weapons, they just appear at the level required to unlock the tier+1, like the Avenger or Omni-Blade.

The reason I think tier 6 does not exist is because I have access to the Avenger VI, but there is no Pathfinder Pioneer VI (or any other Pioneer weapon tier VI for that matter).  If this is not a bug the whole deluxe weaponry will be nonviable as the tiers increase and they remain "mid-game" weapons.

Does that mean I should dumb my research points and resources elsewhere?

Good news is you can develop up to Tier V with no research invested, Pioneer weapons are available for free from the start for crafting.

Bad news is if you end up liking them they start to fall off by tier 7, doing significantly less damage because you can no longer make tiers VI and up to X.  Basically they just don't scale into the late game.

I am in the same boat, I loved the guns that came in the deluxe edition and I had to beat the game using other weapons because the Tiers above V did not exist.

Can someone from EA let me know if this is intentional, or if I am missing something?

I paid real money for these weapons because in the past the paid DLC weapons added a lot to the game, and these are also great.  I really wanted to beat the game using them, but the damage they did was not competitive by end game (I was in tier VII).

My pioneer weapons are still at tier 1 and I don't see how to craft/upgrade them anywhere.  They are nowhere to be in find in either research or development.  Any thoughts?

I don't know how the Pathfinder weapons pack works exactly but they won't necessarily be "behind".

I'm level 63 and still carry a tier 8 weapon even though the tier 10 variant was given to me for starting a second new game plus. Yes...third game. lol

My crafted tier 8 weapon is better than the tier 10 by a pretty good margin.

But now that you mention it,there are no blueprints for my tier 10 stuff. They are what they are and in my case...they aren't enough.

I guess I'll have to wait until level 80 for the advanced prints.

Hopefully they patch your issue because it seems like an oversight.

How did you upgrade to tier 5? My deluxe weapons don't appear to be upgradable as the blueprints are not showing up in R&D...?
