@draconiam I'm unaware what either of these companies worked on specifically as well, but as @Fred_vdp mentioned this was likely contract work and neither of these companies would be handling tech support or bug fixes for the Legendary Edition.

"Multiple support studios were contracted to assist with development, including Abstraction Games and Blind Squirrel Games.[4][15] The former aided with the adaptation of each game for newer consoles, and helped with optimizations and improvements, mostly with regards to graphics.[4]"

Also from the Wikia article:
"During this early phase, BioWare also sought feedback from fans and modders with regards to what changes should be implemented.[20]."
Yeah I don't know about that one as some of the issues were resolved by modders and pointed out by players since the original releases came out, maybe Bioware only got in touch with a few select group and ignored the rest.
