Also from the Wikia article:
"During this early phase, BioWare also sought feedback from fans and modders with regards to what changes should be implemented.[20]."
Yeah I don't know about that one as some of the issues were resolved by modders and pointed out by players since the original releases came out, maybe Bioware only got in touch with a few select group and ignored the rest.

I know that BioWare got in touch with Mgamerz, creator of Mass Effect modding tools. The result was that many mods from vanilla managed to be reintroduced for the remaster very quickly. I don't think the goal of contacting modders was to bug fix existing problems.

Seems that way, so they contacted the modders to make sure they could work on the bugs they left behind again. No, the contact the modders so modding would be easier this time around.
Also because the modding community requested it.
That the modding community is providing QOL Mods as tools that can help you circumvent glitches and light bugs is completely normal, not just in this games.

Reference: Nexus supports mods for 1,392 games and that's just one modding site.
- draconiam4 years agoSeasoned Ace@sundance31us I am very familiar with Nexus, man the Omega MOD as well the Galaxy Expansion are just two that I love how they were made if it's noticed that they aren't developers work because they use a lot of recycled animations and dialogue lines but modders overall tend to have more freedom than devs.
