ME1 LE (Xbox): Liara's Overload ability missing

Hi,

What the title says: first game in LE, playing on XSX. In the squad menu, I have Liara's Electronics skill upgraded to its maximum (screenshot here) - but even just the first point should grant her the Overload ability.

During gameplay however, the ability wheel does not contain it, Liara has six biotic abilities and an empty slot (screenshot here).

  • However, due to a limitation in the game's UI, if Liara learns all of her available biotic abilities, the Overload ability becomes hidden in the HUD/Power Wheel. In that situation, Liara will only be able to use Overload if the Squad Power Usage option is set to Active. To avoid this, no points should be invested in the Stasis talent.

==> Do not expect a fix for this vanilla ME1 bug.

  • Please don't call people a Troll when they offer an explanation as to why a Tech ability doesn't work for a Biotic. I didn't make the rules on how these things work, Bioware did.

Jesus christ man, I'm getting irritated now.

Can you comprehend that this is a bug? A bug. A technical oversight. An issue. Not intentional. Not based on lore.

The bloody tech ability works if you don't invest points in Stasis.

It isn't fixed because it isn't broken. Liara is a Pure Biotic, as is Adept Shepard. ONLY Sentinel (Kaidan) has access to Biotic and Tech abilities. The Dev's made it this way on purpose!

If the devs intended Liara to be pure biotic with no tech powers whatsoever, they would not have given her Electronics in the first place and allowed her to use Overload at all. So even if you're correct about the devs' intentions, it's still broken because Liara is able to do things the devs didn't intend for her to do! Follow your own logic, man. I find it much more likely that Liara is meant by the devs to be able to use Overload but it's glitched, rather than the devs gave her a whole skill line by accident or somehow didn't intend to.

You aren't one of the devs, you're making a fool of yourself by presuming to speak for the devs. You don't actually know their intentions.
