ME2 LE - Archangel cutscene bug / lighting issues on Omega.

I thought this might have been a one-off, but I repeated the quest to confirm and checked youtube for video of it as well.

When Garrus regains consciousness after being shot by the gunship, in original ME2, Garrus' awakening is fully animated and the scene is focused to show it. In ME2 LE, it appears that this animation is missing, the camera focuses vaguely on his face, and the audio plays.

Was this an intentional change or is there a bug in the cutscene?

Also - anyone else getting the visual effect that causes the overhead lights in Archangel's base (and similar spaces/apartments on Omega) to appear dark with a light ring around the edge? Seems like some sort of shader bug.

  • I play the PC version and I noticed this as well with the Garrus scene.  It was really odd to have his eyes open and him not moving, then have him gasp and have his face frozen still with his eyes open and him not moving XD

  • @Aveliexa It's so odd that this was changed. I hope it's a bug.

I also played a bit further into the game...the lighting issue is present in places like Purgatory as well. Basically any level with large overhead lights on a flat surface have this weird darkness filter that occupies the entire screen/edge of wherever the geometry is. I think it's an unintended side effect of the new shaders they're using.
