ME2 LE Pickup Grenade Launcher Then Nothing Happens

Im in the prologue mission, I get to the point where im supposed to pick up a grenade launcher from the body on the floor. I pickup the launcher, it continues to say to pick it up from the floor and nothing more happens. I can equip the launcher, fire it, run around the room in little circles but the game doesnt progress any further, the door with the robots behind it never opens no matter what I do.
