ME2 lost achievements, no advanced training available

@Gsxr1kStang  Who did you romance in ME2? I renewed a romance with Liara. I completed the Shadow Broker DLC, and right after, completed the romance scene. Xbox achievement did not pop, nor did the in-game achievement trigger. However, I did this pretty early in my playthrough, and I'm not sure if it should've popped now or if I still have to trigger the Omega-4 relay like the other romances (I've never romanced Liara in ME2 before).

The bug has been patched

I did the update and it was fixed i looked at my ingame achievements and they were there

As some have noted, the scope of the patch was for some specific issues on Xbox

• Fixed an issue that prevented in-game Achievements from unlocking as intended, which blocked players from unlocking Advanced Training abilities.

@EA_David  Does that mean the Xbox achievements related to Paramour II/III and Insanity II/III have not been fully addressed? My in-game achievements do properly show Paramour I & Insanity I now, but I don't want waste 30-40 hours finishing ME2 if those achiements don't pop. For clarification, does romancing Liara in ME2 trigger the achievement in the Legendary Edition or not? Thanks.

Seems there's still some issues, though? I guess I'll see too as I go along. Are there still plans to update/fix the rest of this stuff some folks are talking about? Thank you again for the work so far. :-)

Liara never triggered the Paramour II achievement, it was a DLC story and it would have benefited only people that purchased the DLC, so it was not included.

That was not changed for the MELE.

I am genuinely curious about that. Are you just hunting this achievement? Is it not playing the game that should the fun part?

@holger1405Do you have an official source on the Liara thing from the devs, or is that just your opinion based on the original game(s) being presented as fact? 

I've played through the trilogy multiple times, so while I do enjoy the games (it is my all time favorite series), getting all the achievements is also important to me. As far as I'm concerned, if any achievements/trophies are broken in a game, then the game is broken. You don't have to care about them, but I won't be shamed for being an achievement hunter. 

@EA_Mako  Well, that does stink. I've been suffering Insanity (only really a pain because the low level) from the start to avoid multiple playthroughs. If I don't do the "I'd like to talk about us" option with Liara after defeating previous Shadow Broker (I kept a save there), skipping the romance scene, am I able to romance someone else after their loyalty mission? I don't like it, as I'm doing my first FemShep run & don't really care for the other options.

I haven't tested that particular interaction myself, but it sounds like you're still able to pursue another romance regardless of which option you select with Liara at that point. That may just have various consequences later down the line, of course 🤔

Just finished ME2 on insane.

And i didnet get the Insanity 2 Achievment.

i  play on Xbox and this sucks.

I did have so many issues with the achievments.

Played 80 hours (ME1+2) and the achievments are buggy as hell.

And now i didnt get the insanity II achievment., so i wont get the insanity achievment III. I guess.

Will there be a solution?

No one is trying to shame you, but when an Achievement becomes more important than the game and when you, as you said yourself, "suffer insanity" just for an Achievement instead of playing the game at a level where you can enjoy it, you are imho doing something wrong.

But that is your prerogative of course.

I hope @EA_Mako`s confirmation about Paramount II and Liara is official enoug, just in general, I try to not speak out of my behind on this board, comes with the rank. 😉

Aaaaaand that would be shaming, or do you prefer ridiculing?  You don't get to tell other people the right or wrong way to play or enjoy their video games. ESPECIALLY single-player focused games. Achievements/trophies are a part of games, console games in particular, in this day and age. Your personal opinion on them, or judgement of those who put at least some focus on them doesn't change that. If a dev doesn't care or like that they have to include them in today's games, they can always just pop in a lazy list of 10 or so that unlock by basically starting the game (to fulfill the requirements by MS & Sony, not because that's what I want).

I agree with you. Not wanting to get into an argument, but you're allowed to like playng a game for whatever reasons it gives you a good experience, achievements count as that too. You posited your opinion on wanting to get achievements and then was told (esp in the last statement to you on this) that their opinion seems to matter while yours isn't sufficient in why you like playing MELE (or any game really).

AFA the achievemnts I earned, I have all of them except "The One and Only" achievement (beating SPECTRE level opponents in the Armax Arena in the Citadel DLC). I played through ME1-2 on insanity and only got the Insanity 1 in ME1, but after finishing ME2, it didn't pop. Fortunately I had a save right before the final battle at the end of ME1 on insanity and that triggered Insanity II. I wasn't going to play thru ME3 not to get it so I did it again on ME1 and got III. I then didn't get the Paramour II in ME2 so I did it in ME1 two more times and got all three achievements. Having said that, I did beat ME3 (except the DLC stuff) on insanity, so I feel getting them the altrenate way was jsutified.

Well, Paramour II & Insanity II Xbox achievements both popped for me, so that's good. Also had no issues grabbing Warp Ammo as my bonus ability after doing Jack's loyalty mission. Now just to knock out the Arrival mission & move on to my ME3 Insanity run.

If anyone cares, for Paramour II since Liara doesn't trigger the achievement, I went to a save I had after completing the Lair of the Shadow Broker dlc but before talking to Liara. Then I just never initiated the conversation with her (still took advantage of the perks from all the terminals) & proceeded to romance Thane. Worked fine. We'll see if there are any wrenches in romancing Liara again in ME3. Hopefully not.

I reloaded the save and have romanced Jack and Tali instead and no achievement (cutscenes for all worked fine.)

In my ME3 run, I romanced Liara and Paramour II popped but not III. Tried reloading but no achievement for III. Went back to 2 and retried from my save and nothing.

I have seen some linking this to the Insanity achievements, but I got those for 1 and 2 just fine.

This is happening for me too on Xbox One. Romanced Liara in ME1, got Paramour I. Romanced Thane in 2, no achievement. Romanced Liara in 3, and Paramour II unlocked. Never got Paramour III.

I tried deleting and reinstalling the game without patches and replaying the romance cutscene as I've heard this works for some, but nada. Also just completed a whole new run of ME2 on Insanity which I started after the latest patch was released, but still never got Paramour III to unlock. :\
