For the Pyromaniac achievement only Shepard own powers count.
So shared squad powers, like squad Inferno ammo will not count nor will any power of a squamate.

You may be right.
But isn't that annoying considering the fact that in order to get every other achievement in all trilogy which works the same way (Sky High ME3, Overload Specialist ME3, all skill-based achievements in both ME & ME2) you can use your squad's powers and they do count? Seems kinda strange to me that the only exception was made particularly on getting a Pyromaniac.
By the way, what are you supposed to do in order to get the Pyromaniac if you play as an Adept? Start a new game?
I have no idea if Bioware did this on purpose or if it is a oversight.
If Ashley is alive in your playthrough you can use the Inferno Grenade bonus power to get the achievement.
If not there is no other way to get it than to start a new game, but you can get the achievement in the first mission on earth with a Infiltrator and Incinerate, at the point just before the Normandy picks you up.
The Cannibals will spam until you don't have any ammunition left. So you can burn them until you get the achievement if you do not fire your weapon.
