None of the 3 games will launch

I'm having trouble launching any of the 3 games within MELE. I can get as far as the splash screen (N7 helmet in the bottom left, menu to select which game to play) and as soon as I select any of the...

    Congratulations! 😃 And yes, that is somewhat more important. 😉

    • Turn off "Cloud storage" in Origin.
      (Origin menu > Origin > Application Settings > Install & Saves > Cloud storage > Off (Grey)
    • If you use Steam you don't have to do anything, unless you have added Mass Effect 1 manually to Streams cloud save function.
      (If you use EA app let me know.)
    • Make sure Origin, EA app or Steam are completely closed.
    • Go to "C:\Users\>your username>\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Legendary Edition" folder and move all the folders inside to a folder on your desktop.
      (Just to make this clear, the Mass Effect Legendary Edition folder must be empty.)
    • Test the games. (If you use EA app set it to offline mode before you start a game.)

  • Go here.
  • Download the "vc_redist.x86.exe" and the "vc_redist.x64.exe" (You don't need the ARM version.)
  • Run the "vc_redist.x86.exe" as administrator. (Right click on the exe > Run as administrator.)
  • Restart the computer.
  • Run the "vc_redist.x64.exe" as administrator. (Right click on the exe > Run as administrator.)
  • Restart the computer.
  • Test.

Thanks - this time I was able to run each of the VC installers, but unfortunately it had no effect after restarting and attempting to run any of the games again. I've attached another DxDiag export in case it's useful.

    • Hit Windows key and X.
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered.
    • Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter or copy and past: “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
    • If errors are found, notify us. If no errors were found reaped steps 1 & 2.
    • Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter or copy and past: “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here.
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key and X again.
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command Prompt (Administrator)”
    • Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “sfc /scannow” without quotes. >ENTER.
    • Post the message you receive at the end of the processes here.

      I followed all of the steps, with no errors resulting from DSIM. The output from sfc was:

      Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

      Beginning verification phase of system scan.
      Verification 100% complete.

      Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.

      This did not solve the issue, unfortunately.

      As I mentioned in my first post, the same issue occurs at the same point on both Windows and on my Steam Deck, so I'm not sure if it's any specific Windows/GPU config at fault. Could it be Origin stepping in? Does the game itself store a log detailing why it crashed to the title screen?
