EDIT: The Deluxe Upgrade is now available, please check the game's addons or extra content page. - Hyncharas9 years agoNew Traveler
Speaking from experience, it has been NOTORIOUSLY hard getting physical editions of EA titles with extra DLC for some years... in fact, the only retailer I know that sometimes offers this is GAME, but this has become less frequent as the company's licensing terms have gradually changed.
If we're talking about a petition here, it would be nice if players could buy Andromeda on a disc, and then pay the difference on Deluxe and Super Deluxe upgrade-codes.
@DiscoBabaloo @masseffect There will be a Deluxe upgrade. The exact launch timing is still being worked out.

Finally. TIME TO PRE-ORDER!!!

Hello!
Pardon me for asking but has this been verified now then?
Will I be able to upgrade my Mass Effect Andromeda Standard edition(PC) to a deluxe edition?
I asked a manager at Gamestop, but all he could verify was a deluxe upgrade for Xbox One. Not PC. =(
The upgrade is confirmed and I can't see a reason whatsoever why Bioware should change their politics and not release such an upgrade pack for PC as well.

Quite right, but Gamestop response alarmed me. I do hope you are right! =)

So, any news on this?
Do you know now if such upgrades will be possible ? I pre-ordered a Deluxe edition but I'd be interested in the Super. Unfortunately I can't cancel the pre-order.
Yeah, any news on this? Come on.

@draconatorz Unfortunately this isn't something we usually have until shortly before or after release, but we usually do have such deluxe upgrade packages available.
If I can get this info any time soon I'll update the thread as appropriate.
Is there any update on when the Deluxe/Super Deluxe Edition upgrades will be available?I asked David yesterday about this.
There is no ETA at the moment. The upgrade pack will come, but it might take a few weeks until it is released.
For those still interested in

if you want super deluxe you have till friday i think? as in this weekend maybe only. its a limited time thing. otherwise wait on the deluxe upgrade pack for sure.

A month long wait... I guess EA decided to give up timing and customer satisfaction for Lent....

A lot of PC people purchased the Box version (Code in a Box) at the retailers because they want to have something on the shelf.
It's the same principle, some folks want something physical.

Even though MEA has a number of issues to sort out, it still looks like a great game and I hope a deluxe upgrade becomes available, in due course.

I purchased a physical copy because I wanted a disc so if things changed with Origin down the line I wouldn't be assed out of my game. Like I was with Batman Arkham City when Games for Windows Live died and I was unable to redeem the free Steam code i was supposed to receive according to WB Games. Imagine how annoyed i was when my PC copy of ME:A arrived with a "no disc: Code in box" message on the box.
Being part of the PC master race shouldn't mean No disc because download. But I'm used to EA being annoying to buy things from at this point, so I decided not to make a fit about the whole thing. I figure they'd just delete any post I made about it so why even bother.
But i was hoping they'd at least have the deluxe upgrade available in a reasonable window from launch. Continued disappointment.
I just gotta stop buying EA games. Vote with my wallet and all. V_V

This must be american thing, becuase I bought retail too and it arrived with 6 discs in. I got also steelbook as a gift for preorder, which sadly can hold up only one disc. On the other hand, deluxe upgrade after a month is just too much...

Was that for PC or console.
If you stay civil nobody is gone to remove a post even if it is very critical.
Digital will be the only form of distribution for PC game in the future and that for many reasons, so I am afraid there is no way back.
The disks itself also wouldn't be a grantee that you can play the game if Origin would shut down. Even with a disk installation you still need Origin to play, and you can back up and access the digital copy even more easily.

Are we there yet?

BCFreeman1, PC physical standard version is just a code in a box if you're in the US.
