I'm not sure what the plus/minus count checklist is for dialogue choices - and I think narrative actions figure in there somehow. Do you do all the quick actions? Maybe that's where the game decides we're impulsive. It might also be that both sarcastic/funny and emotional count as "impulsive".
It doesn't help that about half the time you're only given half the wheel to choose from... you might have to work at it not to be labelled "impulsive".
