Rita's Sister Bug

I just completed the "Citadel: Rita's Sister" assignment. I was on the step to return the items to Chellick. However, I decided to talk to Rita first, and she told me her sister was safe now, which ended the assignment without giving me any rewards. When I talk to Chellick, he just says "Good day to see you, commander." I looked this assignment up on Mass effect wiki, and apparently this is a known issue. Any way Bioware can fix it after all these years? This bug is really awful.
