I am on PC so please forgive me if what I suggest doesn't apply. It is normal for squad selection screen to come up whenever you enter into a recruitment mission from any hub world or area. Usually when it hangs like this it is because a missing file, so for PC we would verify downloaded files, and I assume that consoles also offer this ability. So I would suggest you verify the installed files, if that doesn't work, power cycle the system completely down, and unplug it for at least a minute and then retry. You may also try a new character and see if it is specific to this character or if it is an across the board issue for you. I have heard of several people here having similar issues and the verify files fixed it.
