Wrong Career saves deleted

I went to delete a character career in Mass Effect Legendary Edition on PS4 (first game of the trilogy) but instead of deleting the career with 0 hours that I had selected, it deleted my ongoing career of over 20 hours with all side quests completed and KEPT the 0 hours logged career file. I’m devastated and this really demotivates me from playing. Is there any fix to this? It’s ridiculous, I even had a sudden save file corruption directly before this that deleted SIX HOURS OF GAME PLAY!! 

EDIT: I went into settings and thankfully PlayStation plus saved a few auto saves and otherwise, but due to the save corruption I’ve still lost a day’s worth of progress. I wish I could get back those over six hours of playing
