I started playing today and got to one task and I need to deliver happy essence. I have 23 in my inventory but when I go to complete it says I have 0.
same thing happens every time I start a new task too, says I don’t have the inventory and I do.
Can’t do any more tasks so the game is not playable.
also the fishing didn’t seem to work either & no explanation how to get stone but stone is needed for the tasks?

No problem! Some of the later blueprints are tricky like this one too!

No problem! Some blueprints later in the game will ask for a lot of essences, so you don’t have to follow the blueprint exactly as it is, you can get creative with it :)

so I’ve tried again. No luck. The stereo takes 7 happy essences. There is 9 needed to complete this task. I made the stereo twice as thought that could be a fix. No luck. I tried placing happy essences in the room. No luck. The progress bar goes up to 7 and stops. I’m unsure what to do next.
How many blocks do you have for the stereo? If it needs 9 essences, you can also use essences as an object as well when editing an item :)

I think I see the issue here. If you travel to the workshop you should see a task to complete, use the blocks to build and paint with your happy essences, that should increase the "0/8" in your screenshot by 1 per painted piece.
You can also prospect stone by the train station 😁
