Cops

I am totally with you on this one. I love this game. The driving is great, drifting feels awesome, graphics vary from awesome to lousy (Cars/characters awesome, environment lousy), customisation looks awesome, story/dialoge is passable/good for a NFS (taste thing), but what gets me are the cops.

1. NFS should be at a stage that when AI rams YOU, they wouldn't blame you for ramming THEM. Fokking annoying to have them slam into you hard enough to let you fly and them hear them yell "The * just rammed into me! How could he!?!?!!". That is just stupid and frustrating when you are trying to get away from them.

2. The risk/reward thing cops wise is just not worth it. first, you get heat waaaaaaaayyyyyyy too quickly. Even during daytime, which you then take with you to the night races. With only a few races, your heat is 4+ in the second week already. I am driving still only my B and A class cars. And with 2/3+ heat, there are already so many cops on the street that you can't go from one point to a race or garage without having to tip toe around the map or having to take 30 detours just to get to where you want to go, not taking into acount the sleeper cops that don't appear on your minimap. And losing cops on this map is just absurdly tedious. Even the regular cop cars have super fast cars and the AI is surprisingly smart (know how to dodge the environment very well) and got annoying catchup. That together with the amount and regularity of reenforcements the cops get lets chaces get dragged on for waaaaaay too long. And what do you get for "winning" a 10-15 minute long chase? a handful of credits. VS losing all your hard earned cash of that night. And as long as you are busy with losing your pursueers, you can't get on with the rest of the game.

Seriously, this game isn't anymore about streetracing, it is metal gear solid in car form. The cops have to get looked at soon as otherwise I will be done with this game real soon. Not a threat, just stating a possible threshold that can affect lots of other people as cops and pursuits are one of the main things in the game. 

Yeah It's not fun spending 1 hour + trying to evade the cops on heat level 5 at night.  I even tried to hide under heavy tree coverage with my light off and engine off, but nope the helicopter spotted me right away.  Finally made it to a safehouse.

I outrun them with a few tricks on Heat 5 but once I am out of the chase, they keep spawning on literally every corner and the undercover unit is not making it easy either.

Also...two helicopters, not one..TWO 

Yes, game really looks and feels good but heat level and cops logic is not good, for instance, when the player is at level 2 heat then there're like 2 3 cops in one area which is normal but when the heat increases cops petrol also increases, on level 5 heat, cops are around every corner and sometimes it comes from nowhere as sudden which is not normal, sometimes it' like there're more cops car than normal traffic  it's really hard to reach from point A to B with lot of cash and if player get caught he/she lost all money and whole cycle of day which is really annoying. And because of this many players might stop playing this game in future and 

Cops petrol car should be the same on every level of heat, but the quality of pursuit should be challenging based upon level of heat. Just like old games - NFS Most Wanted or NFS Carbon. Those game cops were amazing, same level of petrol cops in any level of heat but intense pursuits as well with pursuit breakers.

Summarize your bug The sheer amount of cops patrolling the streets when you reach level 5 is absurd. Especially, this concerns the choppers. Getting from A to B becomes such a chore because of that. And also takes a lot more time than it would reasonably need. All because how much the streets are packed with cops and sometimes it is impossible to hide from them.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Get to Heat level 5 (preferably during the daytime) 2. Try to do races at different meetups (e.g. at night)
What happens when the bug occurs? Most of playtime is spent at pursuits trying to get from A to B. There is just too much choppers flying around with their excellent view of everything.
What do you expect to see? A more decent chance at flying beneath the radar

It is just tedious to the escape from a pursuit just to get almost unavoidably spotted a few minutes after. I am playing on the "Challenging" difficulty setting. The chases are definitely enjoyable and they should stay that way. But there is just too much of them!

I see a few potential remedies for this:
* Heavily reduce the amount of choppers patrolling the streets (when not in chase). Or even remove them completely
* Add a possibility to reduce Heat level by doing a challenge
* Slightly lower the amount of cops patrolling the streets
* Do not allow the cops to surround the player when not in chase. There should always be a way to escape.

When every other car is a cop, it becomes a chore, not a challenge.

Yeah, most of the time you are hiding from cops or trying to run away from them, and the rest you can try and earn some money. Maybe AI skills are okay, imho the main problem is there are a too many cops and they are everywhere: city, country, streets, roads, highway.

Today I set difficulty to Very-Easy-please-I-am-stupid and played a while to check if cops relaxed a bit. No way: I had to defend 2.000$ I won with sweat and tears in a race and I was running away from them during a very long and boring time. My heat raised from 2 to 5. Fortunately a safe place to hide found me and cops decided to go on the opposite direction. Arriving to the garage on heat 5 was another nice time.

I didn't get fun and I felt no satisfaction beating them, because that's not one of those hard and nice challenges we find in some games, set to get from us the best. This is a wrong implementation and lack of testing of a CORE part of the game.

Anyway, in my opinion it ruins the whole game. I am a big fan of NFS so yeah, I am f***d up ☹️
