Try these steps instead - 

1. Open the official EA website on a browser.
2. Click on the person icon on the top-right corner of the screen to sign in.
3. Click on the PlayStation icon and enter the necessary details to sign in using the PSN account.
4. Once this is done, you will be asked to link your EA account with your PSN ID. You will need to connect these accounts in order to solve the issue.
5. Lastly, access your account information by clicking on the person icon again. Here, you can head to the connections section at the bottom to confirm if your PSN is account linked successfully. Other info about your account can also be found here. If you are already signed in to you EA account, you can simply sign out and re-login with you PSN account to link them. Following all of these steps correctly should solve the SSL error.

Unfortunately it is still not working. It's giving me the reset password screen again, and I have checked every crevice of my email for a message and there most definitely isn't one.

I did create a new Xbox live Gold account, and was able to connect and play a few games. So it's clearly some sort of account problem/glitch.

If you're using a gmail account, check to see if there's an email from us in your Promotions folder. That's where I've always found EA emails. If it's still not there, try contacting @EAHelp through Twitter or open a case with a live support advisor here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/. You can also go to facebook.com/eahelphub to get in touch with support. They'll look into this for you. Thanks!

@EA_AljoI've been able to play, but whenever I try to do any online/account type activity it forces me to reset my PW, but doesn't let me past that screen even after I reset it.

What system are you playing on? If you're on Xbox Series X/S, try removing the game from Quick Resume and do a full power cycle with these steps - unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem/router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up.

If that isn't helping, try going to profile.ea.com and resetting your password there.
