Game going glitchy

It's hard to get a video of because it just looks like I'm playing bad but it feels like delayed response from the controller but my menu's in HUT seem slow after it started doing this and my auction house will freeze alot now forcing me to close the game but I can still see my timer running for the daily free packs while my auction house freezes

I also just went and got a new controller today to try and see if maybe that was the problem but it is still doing it. It seems to stop if I shut the console off and then after playing 30 minutes or so it will usually act up again. If I get an xbox series s will I be able to use my same account and download the Xbox one version of the game so I don't lose my collection and coins?

This sounds like it could be a connection issue. Are you using a wired or wireless connection?

Wireless but it has worked fine for years and this game since it came out. Even playing the offline modes like squad battles and HUT rush do it. Is it possible that my xbox one s where it is probably 4-5 years old atleast is starting to overheat and cause this? It seems to get worse if I play longer and the console sounds very strange if I start it with no disc

As a test, can you move close enough to use a wire? Maybe there's a TV within reach of your router? What you're describing sounds like a connection issue and they are far more likely to happen over wireless than wired. Even if it's normally fine, wireless is very easy to interfere with. If you can't do that, I'd suggest going through the connection troubleshooting steps here. HUT Rush and Squad Battles are single player, but they're not offline since HUT requires an online connection. So, they are going to be susceptible to the quality of your connection.

I will try to hook it up wired but whenever I check my connection on the console it is fine. I downloaded a game lastnight afterwards just to see if it would work or disconnect and it did download

Your connection will most likely show as fine. The problem is that wireless can be interrupted at any time and only for a moment. While this may be very friend, it will cause lag and potentially disconnect you. Wireless connections are simply not good for competitive gaming. Try out a wire and let me know what happens. Thanks!

I have it hooked up to a wired connection now. How do I know for sure that is what it is using and not still going wireless for its connection.

I've tried for hours to get it hooked up to a wired connection and it just goes straight to wireless regardless of what I do. I've watched so many videos on how to do this and so many people are having trouble with this exact same thing trying to get their console to pick up a wired connection.
