Hi there. Are you and your friend using share play or are both PSN IDs on linked to the same EA account?

No two different PSN IDs two different games purchased separately on different accounts.

My son and I have been having this same issue. After reading this thread we realized I had the latest update for the game and he didn’t. Once he shut the game down and reloaded it, the latest update was installed and haven’t had a problem since. I hope this helps others that have this same problem.

We are potentially fixing it with the January update. For now, you can try playing on a different account. There has been limited success with leaving the and rejoining the club. You can also try deleting the club you were on when the issue started. Even if you're not on that club any longer.
