We'll provide an update when we have one. Unfortunately, without reproducing it, we can't fix it. So far, using an external fan working has been confirmed by a couple of people. Might be worth trying until we can find a resolution for this.
Aljo I've been doing some research into these external fans and Microsoft seems to think they aren't a good idea. They say that it actually increases the risk of overheating because it blocks the internal fan of the xbox. The console already has a fan in it. I don't want to break my console. Any other fixes?

Unfortunately, I don't have anything else to suggest.

Been having this literal issue for the last 5 years worth of EA Games. And only EA games do this to me.

I'm curious. You had 5 years of EA sports game crashing/overheating? I had EA sports game every year and NHL25 was the first one struggling.
I don't want to defend EA because there is something with the game causing excess use of the console hardware. But the consoles themselves seems to be a significant variable. It became more evident to me since I fixed the "sofware issue" with a fan.
