Menus in franchise mode way too slow

When playing franchise mode pretty much all menus are lagging all the time. Switching teams shows me my AHL teams' stats for a few seconds if it changes at all. Editing lines it takes a good 3 seconds for the change to manifest and even then the line chemistry is not what it showed before the stutter. And this repeats, move player A from third line to second line and it shows line chemistry is 2nd +2 3rd 0. What the lines show after said move is 2nd 0 3rd -1 etc. Pretty much all functions of franchise mode are really slow. A player gets a minor injury, I go to said player, wait a bit for the game to catch up, select said player, pick a replacement, and then wait again to see the ramifications. 

Maybe lag gives you the wrong idea since I play only offline modes. This should have nothing to do with internet speeds as they aren't required for my use and the same problems exist whether online or not. This has been endemic within the nhl-franchise games. And no my PS5 hasn't been in sleep mode and yes I have reinstalled the game etc. This is completely on you.
