AI Player/line substitutions still not fixed from NHL 25

How can this still not be fixed? Why does the AI or logic not understand or can't differ from the forward and defensive position.

I brought this issue up last year where the AI was putting forwards in on defence when there was an injury instead of calling a player up from the AHL. 

In NHL 26 I had an injury mid game that sidelined the player for the remainder of the game. Logic would dictate that the team would have to play with 5 d-man and that spot would be filled with a d-man, however in the mind of EA NHL that logic is not correct for hockey and feels that putting a sniper on defense is a much better option. 

Can someone at EA please explain to me how this makes sense?
