Amen! It's utterly impossible to play as a defensive d-man for example, and if the team loses many games in a row, you'll eventually be moved to the AHL, regardless of individual performance. Why isn't the entire team judged by the same yardstick?
I also hate the new "newspaper headlines". They have an unrealistic focus on your player. If the team wins a game but you go scoreless, the focus is on you having a "quiet night". Just like before, you have no idea what's going on in the league. A big trade should probably be on the news instead of the fact that your fourth-string grinder didn't score in the last game. The "newsfeed" is fantastically crappy, and seems to be designed for narcissists.
