HUT account banned

I work for two weeks and then I’m off for one. During that week, i really enjoy playing HUT, something I genuinely appreciate being able to do while my girlfriend is at work… BUT

This was the last straw, EA, this was really low. You shut down my account, a high-paying customer who has spent incredible amounts of money on your game and followed the rules. I had no idea this was even a thing? That after €€€€€€€€€, you’re not allowed to use coins from your other closed account (coins that came from purchases I made, you rats) to help your main account? Am i supposed to just let them go to waste? ONE SINGLE PURCHASE ON THE AUCTION HOUSE AND YOU BAN ME?

You are so out of touch, so out of touch that you don’t understand there are forums where people post things they want to buy in HUT, like jerseys/players, and they may overpay sometimes, which I think is completely fine, especially when you’ve already spent an incredible amount of money on your game.

I demand that you remove this warning. You can ban it again if the same thing happens, but this should not happen now, not the first time, im warned. REMOVE IT NOW.

Is this the thanks I get? Is this how you treat your customers? So low. REMOVE IT.

It's not about my feelings—I'm just a player like you. It's about the EA Terms of Service (TOS) team. If they see insults in an appeal, they often just close the ticket without a second look.

    How to change your appeal:

Unfortunately, you usually cannot edit a ticket once it's submitted. However, you can:

Wait for their first response. If they deny it, you can appeal again and use a more professional tone then.

Add a comment to your existing case: Go back to 'My Cases' on the EA Help site, open your active ticket, and see if there is an 'Add Note' or 'Resume' option. You can then add a more professional follow-up message there.

Stick to the facts: Mention your loyalty since 2016 and that you simply didn't know that moving your own coins was against the rules. That is your best shot at getting back to the game during your week off.

FoxHoundTiger Is this a joke? Can’t you handle criticism? You can’t ignore frustration and emotions in a support request when, without any warning, you’ve removed a product that someone overpaid for and supported. Just like that? And just because someone has a slightly harsher tone, they don’t get any help? What kind of company is this? Very professional 👍🏻

am not an EA employee. I’m just a fellow community member trying to explain why you were flagged so you can improve your chances with your appeal. I understand your frustration—waiting days for a response during your week off is terrible, especially as a loyal customer. However, sending insults like 'rats' to the support team will only hurt your case. I'm just trying to help you get your account back."

The tone of your message is seen as a threat and will likely get your appeal rejected immediately. EA support will not respond well to insults or demands. If you want your account back, you need to change your strategy: admit that you made a mistake by transferring coins because you didn't know the rules, and ask for a second chance as a long-time customer. Attacking them will only ensure the ban stays permanent.

  • FoxHoundTiger You Ea-employee?

    Thanks for nothing.

I’ve done this, but I won’t get any response for several days, right? Very unprofessional and lazy support from your side, really bad. If you don’t receive any warning before a penalty and are punished immediately, you should be able to appeal and get a response right away, especially since I am a high-paying customer who has spent large amounts of money on your game and supported it since 2016. This is unacceptable. How do you expect me to ever come back to the game and spend money again if this is how you treat people? Embarrassing. Truly embarrassing. Rats.

The rule you broke is called "Coin Transferring". Even if the coins are yours and the accounts belong to you, EA's Terms of Service (TOS) strictly forbid moving coins from one account to another through the Auction House.

Here is why they banned you:

Market Manipulation: EA sees any transaction where an item is sold far above its market value (like a basic jersey for 100,000 coins) as a violation. They call this "disturbing the game economy."

Unfair Advantage: Their policy states that every account must progress independently. You are not allowed to "boost" one account using the resources of another.

The "Coin Selling" Filter: EA uses automated bots to track the Auction House. These bots cannot tell the difference between you moving your own coins and someone buying coins from an illegal third-party website. To the bot, it looks exactly the same.

How to explain this to him in English (Miten selittää tämä hänelle):

"You were banned for Coin Transferring. EA doesn't allow moving coins between accounts, even if both accounts belong to you. When you bought that item on the Auction House for a high price to move your coins, their automated system flagged it as 'Market Manipulation' or 'Coin Distribution.'

To EA, it doesn't matter that it was your own money; their rules say every account must be kept separate. To get your account back, you need to prove it was an honest mistake and that you didn't know transferring between your own accounts was forbidden.

    What you can do now:

Submit an Appeal: You need to file an official appeal through the EA Help website.

Provide Justification: Even though the situation is frustrating, it is best to emphasize in your appeal that this was your first offense and that you were unaware this violated the Terms of Service, as you were simply moving resources between your own accounts.

Payment Records: Providing proof of your purchase history (receipts) can sometimes help demonstrate your long-term commitment to the game, even if it doesn’t guarantee the ban will be lifted.

Step-by-Step Instructions to Appeal Your Ban

    Go to EA Help:

    Navigate to help.ea.com.

    Log In:

Log in with the account that has been banned.

    Select Your Game:

Search for and select NHL 24 (or the version you are currently playing).

    Choose the Topic:

Select "Manage my account" and then choose "I want to appeal a ban or suspension".

    Submit Your Case:

Click on the available contact option (usually "Email us") to open the appeal form.

    Important Tips for Your Appeal

Be Professional: While it is frustrating, using professional language is more likely to get a positive response from the support team than an angry message.

Reference Your Loyalty: Since you have spent a significant amount on the game, mentioning your status as a "high-paying, loyal customer" helps them see the value of your account.

Keep Your Case Number: Once you submit, you will receive a Case Number. Keep this safe for any future follow-ups.

Wait for Response: It typically takes a few business days for the Terms of Service (TOS) team to review the case and get back to you via email.

Hopefully, you get this sorted quickly so you can get back to your HUT team during your week off!
