How did I not know this was a thing until now. I've been playing EASHL since it was introduced. I knew you could switch between puck/player focus, and that Auto-zoom on/off had some effect on how it kept things in focus, but I had NO idea about the hold for a hybrid view. This isn't explained anywhere in game is it? I can't find anything about it. That is HUGE info that should be explained somewhere. I don't see it in the controls or any sort of tutorial anywhere. I'm telling my D guy about this ASAP.
Edit: After testing, it seems like if you have Auto-zoom OFF, holding it down just switches to Player Focus with Auto-zoom "on/auto". Whereas if you have Auto-zoom On/Auto, it switches to puck focus with Auto-zoom off. Strange... maybe useful, but less useful than I was hoping.
