When I used to play eashl, I would set up a custom camera for each forward or D. For D I would have a lower camera angle so I could look further down the ice. I miss those days, used to play 4-6 hours a night. I wish they would let us make custom camera angles again.

Have you tried the Zone camera? I too used to use a custom camera that could see farther down the ice. Zone works really well though since it pretty much achieves the same thing. Especially when you select your camera to use the hybrid view that that keeps the puck and your player on screen. Hold down the camera switch button for a few seconds to get that.
How did I not know this was a thing until now. I've been playing EASHL since it was introduced. I knew you could switch between puck/player focus, and that Auto-zoom on/off had some effect on how it kept things in focus, but I had NO idea about the hold for a hybrid view. This isn't explained anywhere in game is it? I can't find anything about it. That is HUGE info that should be explained somewhere. I don't see it in the controls or any sort of tutorial anywhere. I'm telling my D guy about this ASAP.
Edit: After testing, it seems like if you have Auto-zoom OFF, holding it down just switches to Player Focus with Auto-zoom "on/auto". Whereas if you have Auto-zoom On/Auto, it switches to puck focus with Auto-zoom off. Strange... maybe useful, but less useful than I was hoping.

Unfortunately, it's not explained anywhere. And I agree it should be.
I use autozoom off and always switch to the hybrid view at the start of games. Which console are you on?
