Every update is not just about HUT. Today we released a an update to fix a WoC issue. We also released a patch 9/15. Look, I get it. We're all frustrated some big issues haven't been handled yet. However, to say we only care about pushing monetization is really not correct at all. The reality is that there have been a lot of issues reported that the team is investigating. Unless it's an emergency like the WoC issue I mentioned, we release patches that resolve multiple issues. These take time. For NHL 25 we had monthly patches. Hopefully, that's the case with 26. We're just going to have to wait.
HUT content is completely different than fixing bugs. That all is planned in advance. It doesn't really require reworking something as complicated as form score or fixing the LT/L2 issue. Which, is far from easy as it is tied to pivoting. So, changes to LT/L2 can mean changing how pivoting works. Which, if not done right, can have a pretty negative impact on gameplay as pivoting is crucial in this game. You can look at the history of our patches over the years and very easily see that we have been active with addressing issues. We can't just snap our fingers and fix something. It's always a lengthy and involved process. So, again, the comments that we only care about HUT are absolutely false. No one is going to deny the popularity of HUT and the attention it gets, but so does the rest of the game. Except Franchise. Obviously, BaP was the focus for offline modes this year.
Fair enough if indeed my perception of what I see is false. Again, the perception (let's be clear on this) is otherwise though. As for WoC issue are we talking about the stability one? If yes, it is still not good just fyi many stability issues, lag out, freezes etc.
Finally, when they put out hey, we are shutting the game down for fixes I don't really find it clear in game or my other source X (twitter) what changes have actually been made. Yes, we don't need detailed technical outline of code fixed but a better accessibility to notes of the changes. example: 10/2 "refinements to improve flow of play" as per @easportsnhl on X what does that mean? what did they refine to improve what that wasn't good before in the flow of play? So, I looked down the list of the patch notes, and nothing actually changed for improving the "flow of play" or maybe I missed it if you know what it was let me know. IF I am wrong like you said about the focus of monetization I'm okay with changing my stance once presented with new info.
