Crashing randomly

When playing games in hut, online vs. The game will randomly crash me back to the Xbox dashboard and I’ll lose all the progress made. This has to be fixed the game is almost unplayable. This is the only game that I experience these crashes with.

Hey there. We think this is possibly related to the hard drive. Do you happen to have an expansion card you can move the game to?

  • Interesting, I’ve had this issue ever since I started pre ordering deluxe edition as well. Could be on to something.

This has nothing to do with pre-orders or we would have a lot more reports about this. So far, they are pretty much the same as in previous games.

Are you able to try playing the game from an expansion card instead? Someone else mentioned this was resolved with 25 when they played from the cloud. Which is in line with our theory that this has to do with a hard drive issue. That could be due to having an older console that is well used. Personally, I play on a day one Series X and have never had this crashing, but I also have the game installed on an expansion card.

I tried installing it on an external hard drive and it says it needs a high speed hard drive to play and you can only play on the internal hard drive.

You can't play from USB hard drive. It's the dedicated expansion slot at the back of the console where you can put expansion card. But don't bother those cost way too much you're better getting new console from black Friday sales.

Those expansion cards frequently go on sale and are way cheaper than a new console. However, I'm not guaranteeing that will fix this. We just haven't had someone verify yet that works. So far, I've seen one person say they resoled this with a new console and another played the cloud gaming version of NHL 25. They were having the same crashing issue with it being installed on their console.

There's just no point buying that because chances are it wont fix anything and if your internal SSD was causing an issue it most likely will start causing more issues after some time. And when your xbox SSD is broken you're out of luck as those can't be replaced by yourself as they are tied to the console. If you're still on warranty you can request service if your console is having an issue.

But like i said if you're out of warranty your best bet is wait for the sales in November-December and get yourself PS5 that will have less issues with the game. If you were on series s this will also be noticeable upgrade. Or at least that what's im gonna do.

I do have one moved it to the expansion card and no fix. Just frustrating that the only fix is buying a completely new console when this one is only 4 months old.

I’m not totally sure what to do at this point. The only game I have ever had this issue is with NHL. Every other game runs totally fine. But besides buying a new console truly nothing fixes it. Also, on fiber internet that is hard wired so not sure what is going on. Just seems to be unplayable.

  • It's 100% game issue that effects Series X consoles. You buying new would likely not fix it as chances are the issue effects all consoles of the current production line.
