You can turn it off, however you won’t be able to use in game voice chat (I suggest using discord if playing crossplay). Open EA connect, go to settings and then into voice and disable.
It’s a requirement from Sony/MS to have a voice chat overlay with crossplay. A different layout for NHL would be nice though.
Thanks very much, I appreciate the helpful feedback. Yes we are playing crossplay. The voice chat overlay is very frustrating and annoying, & I hope EA sees this and comes out with a patch to adjust the layout of the voice chat overlay on NHL 26.
