NHL 26 seems to have problems with Xbox adaptive controller with controller assist turned on. In HUT wildcard, playing an initial game with controller assist on works fine, however when selecting 'play next game', the controls no longer work when the following game starts. This problem doesn't happen when controller assist is turned off. Only solution seems to be restarting the Xbox after each game is played. Any help would be appreciated.

Turning off the standard controller defeats the whole purpose of having an adaptive controller in pilot/copilot mode. The whole idea is that the user operating the adaptive controller needs assistance from a user on the standard controller. Again, this setup works perfectly fine during an initial wildcard game, but after hitting "play next game" to get to a second game, the controls do not respond on either controller during gameplay. This should be a very easy issue for EA to test and reproduce...what other details do you need?

Hello...the only things that are connected are a standard xbox controller and an adaptive xbox controller, operating as "pilot/copilot". No headset or second standard controller are connected. We did not have this issue with the exact same setup in previous versions of NHL, including NHL 25. The issue continues to happen in NHL 26. Thanks for your help.
