I did try for the sms but even that wouldn't work. I have been able to sign in again but I still do not think that I should be asked for all these authentication things when playing on my own pc 

These codes help you keep your account secure. If you cannot receive them in time, you can set up different two-factor authentication methods, such as an authenticator app, or select to receive the codes via SMS. Am I going to be able to play MY games that I have PAID for?

I am trying to play Sims3 and unfortunately I have to play through the ea launcher.

I play on my PC and for some reason I keep being asked to sign in, when I try to sign in I am then told to decide where I want a code sent to either by text or email to put in to actually sign in but my internet is so bad that if I actually get the code it's usually too lat. Why am I being asked to put extra security on my own PC?
