PvZ GW2 "Failed to retrieve saved data"

Attempted to load into Garden Warfare 2 tonight, only to be met with the message "Oh no! Failed to retrieve saved data". And when I click A, I'm then asked "do you want to continue without saving?". If I click yes, I'm then loaded into the intro scene where you play as the sunflower, but is still master rank. Upon completing that scene and reloading the game, I'm met with the same problem.

I'm on Xbox One S, have tried restarting my game and console, and even cleared the MAC address.

I had opened a support ticket and was joined by support "Swati", who mentioned it maybe an issue on the games side instead of client side, so I'm posting this.
