Spore on a Mac

Question

So I just got spore today on origin. As soon as it finishes downloading, I go to play it. I click on it and the icon pops up for two seconds on my bar of apps at the bottom and then disappears. Then a message popped up on my screen saying that it isn't optimised for my mac (I have MacOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6 on a MacBook air 11-inch Early 2015 model) I have 40 GB available so that's not the problem. I then restarted origin and tried to load it up again. But this time the same thing happened saying that spore unexpectedly quit. I never see any screens of spore or anything. I have been trying to look up tutorials and threads about how to fix it but they either have a different problem or have an older mac. I would really appreciate it if I could get some clear help from someone of how to fix it because I have been really excited to play this game. By the way, I have the Sims 4 and it seems to still work so I think its just a problem with Spore.

The Sims 4 is specially optimized for Mac, Spore is an older game and can cause problems here and there. 
Nevertheless it runs on 2015 mac model, I play it myself to Mac. Important is. 
Spore is not allowed to run in fullscreen mode at High Sierra. After launch of the game, press CMD and Enter at same time , select&nbsp; to windowed mode. Then go to the game settings and select the correct screen resolution.

I have been trying for a few days and nothing works at all. I want to request a refund but I have tried to launch the game before and origin thinks that I have launched it before so its not letting me request a refund, what can i do?
