Game No Longer Starts

A few days ago I tried to start the game and it only got to "Game Loading" and never did start.  I tried again tonight and same situation.  I thought about uninstalling and reinstalling but I assume I would lose all my career achievements, stats, and all the player attributes that I have acquired.  All my other Steam games work so any help from EA would be appreciated.

I noticed another thread where other people can't play the game either.  A friend of mine who bought the deluxe addition can't even finish 18 holes on solo play as he gets disonnected so there really is some significant issues with this game.  I am running Win 10 while he is Win 11.

    I appreciate you asking and yes the game is now working.  I adjusted the UAC down one and that did the trick.

    Actually the message is "Preparing Game" and there is a orange bar which I assume is showing the progress moving from left to right under the message.  It eventually stops and the game has not started.

    I believe there was a Steam update last week and wonder if that has something to do with it?

    I just validated the game files and it said all 768 files were validated.  Tried to start the game again and still doesn't work.

    Sorry can't find EA Background Service.  I opened up Program Files (X86)/Steam/steamapps/common/PGA Tour.

    Where do I access Task Manager?

    I did a search and opened up Task Manager with CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.  Could not find EA Background service.  Any chance that you could issue a hot fix or add it to the next patch to fix this problem.  The game should not stop working after 10 months.

    Found EA BackgroundService. and it indicates "stopped"

    When I right click on it it displays:

    Start

    Open Services

    Search Online.

    What is the next step as your instruction is to end task and then clear the cache for the EA App.
