Yes the spinner has quite a large dispersion zone so I can often find myself weighing it up vs a finesse shot. Distance control is easier with the spinner I think but you can be more sure a finesse will aim very close to the flag.

Ive started teeing off some par 3s with finesse, it's definitely a very useful shot. Ive found the wind plays approx half the amount of a normal shot too (1 green grid square per mph thereabouts). I must admit I've not tried it for really short shots but going to give it a go definitely.
I probably use finesse more than any other shot. It's basically how you do partials in the game.
Iuse the knock down too on some shots but needs be right distance and right kinda winds too ....I mix it up but yes finesse my favourite one .
Yes on the right shot the Knockdown can be great!
