I'm sure EA won't change it, it's working just like they want. It's not Pay to Win but since I got the Cameron Champ driver spec last week, it made a huge difference. I can't hit it on a dime like Arcade players want it, but it's making the game more fun with the ball going close to where I aim.
Maybe EA should take a page from 2K and have those maximum friction balls where putts are actually going in the hole, and not over the hole like the hole is not there, because in a good sim game, the ball don't go in the hole but over the hole like the hole is not there. One way to get rid of that stupid Update 3.
The friction ball basically reduces the green speeds (stupid), and no one uses them. Another example of people developing for things they don't understand without any oversight.
There are also balls that increase distance and spin.
As I said no I one know uses them and they are banned from competitive play. I really don't understand why they are still in the game.
I think this could have been implemented well if done right. But balls should never affect green speeds... but allow a few more yards giving up some control and spin? I think it would add to the experience... not unlike what skills do. It would just be another layer on top of what exists.
